Lymphatic system detox
I’ve been body brushing for years as it has so many benefits in stimulating the lymphatic system and detoxing it and since I’ve been pregnant have made it part of my non-negotiable evening bath / body pamper routine as feels so good brushing all the dead skin away and getting the blood moving especially in my legs and thigh area. It can be really effective for reducing the appearance of cellulite too which I’ve def experienced myself.
Body brushing helps with water retention too and as I enter into the final stages of my pregnancy i reckon this might happen as I’m prone to a bit water retention on my knees and have found this to really help in the past. If you haven’t used a body brush before then just spend 5 mins or so brushing your dry skin pre bath / shower (let’s face it we all have some extra time at the moment for adding to our at-home pamper routines!) and make sure you moisturise your skin properly when you get out....Start at the feet and brush towards the heart using upward strokes (don’t forget backs of knees) and ensure your body brush has natural hard bristles, I use the @mioskincare brush and had it forever, it’s great! (Body brushing also helps budge stubborn fake tan too!) happy brushing.
