My nutty, oaty, gooey granola bar recipe
I’m obsessed with granola bars and got fed up with buying them all the time so after a few attempts have perfected my granola bar recipe and here it is! A delicious batch of nutty, goey homemade breakfast bars...
INGREDIENTS: (Use any nuts you like) I used 160g of nuts made up of - almonds, walnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds and pecans chop and break them up
100g rolled oats
5 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
3 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
Generous pinch of sea salt
METHOD: Line a tray with baking paper and preheat oven to 160 degrees. In a pan on a medium heat melt the coconut oil, peanut butter and maple syrup or honey and then combine the nuts, rolled oats, cinnamon and pinch of sea salt.
Transfer mixture to the tray flatten out and pop in the oven for 10/12 mins until golden.
Leave to cool before cutting into squares.
