Not all oat milks are made equal

Does your oat milk contain inflammatory oils? Here’s why its worth checking the packaging of your oat milk….

I have this conversation at least a couple of times a week with clients and via DM’s so I thought it’s worth highlighting to check the ingredients list on the packaging of your oat milk to see if it includes vegetable oil like rapeseed aka canola oil as it can be inflammatory to the body.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news as I know so many people drink Oatly but other than their organic oat milk version their oat drinks all contain rapeseed oil.

Oils are used to make the milk creamier and so it foams up and is not a big deal If you only have it occasionally but if you’re having multiple cups per day it can easily add up and doesn’t benefit your health so might be worth making a switch to an oat milk that doesn’t add oils, additives or fillers to reduce inflammation and make a better choice for your health. I recommend @plenishdrinks unsweetened oat milk or @goodbetterbruce they only use a few simple ingredients and I can confirm both taste great with coffee! Remember it’s the small changes that make a positive impact on your health.
